Parent-Child Home Program
Our program is for Parents and Children between the ages of 18
months and 3 years old who live in Lawrence. A home visitor will
visit your home twice a week, for one-half hour. At the first visit
of the week, a book or toy will be introduced and in the second
visit of the week, the book or toy will be also be as a focus of the
visit. The home visitor will work you to schedule your visits and
the program follows the Lawrence Public Schools calendar. The goal
of the Lawrence Parent-Child Home Program (LPCHP) is to ensure that
the parents are able to experience the joy and value of reading,
talking and playing with their child while preparing them to enter
school ready to succeed. The home visits empower parents to be their
child's first and most important teacher
